Colorful Clutch + Espadrilles

Happy Wednesday! Keeping today's post short and sweet because I am leaving today for a mini vacation to Folly Beach! I am SO excited to take some days off of work, and lay out the beach all day with family and friends. Right now the weather is calling for 80-90% chance of rain so I'm praying that doesn't happen!

Y'all how cute is this clutch?! I saw it at Ivy & Leo and had to have it! It literally matches so much in my closet! For this outfit, I paired it with a one shoulder white shirt from Vestique. Like in my last post, I snagged it during their warehouse sale for only $15! It's been such a great staple piece that I can wear a ton this summer, and even into fall with a cute cardigan or kimono. This is actually my first time styling espadrille wedges. I see everyone wearing them so I had to see what all the hype was about. I got these from Belk and they were on sale for only $32. They are a dupe for the Marc Fisher ones, and like a fourth of the price! Not only are they adorable and affordable, but they are actually very comfortable and I wouldn't mind being in them for a long period of time!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tips & tricks to a healthier you + OTS Floral top

Today I wanted to share this adorable OTS top, and some tips and tricks for staying healthier in your everyday life. I am not a pro by any means, but these are just a few things I try to do on a daily basis that have helped me significantly. I would love to hear some of the tips/tricks you use in your everyday routine to stay healthy in the comments!
First, the healthy tips and tricks:

o   Eliminate all soda for water – Invest in a good water bottle. You will be more likely to drink more water throughout the day. If you’re not a fan of plain water, try fruit-infused water. Soda is just plain bad for you and contains massive amounts of sugar.

o   80/20 rule – This basically means try your best to eat healthy 80% of the time, but also give yourself room to splurge. Don’t deprive yourself and eat the things you love without making yourself feel bad about it. This helps make the whole healthy living thing feel doable, and is something you will be able to do for the long run.

o   Add more fruits and veggies to your diet – Make sure you are eating these daily (I struggle with this one). Try to replace unhealthy snacks for fruits or veggies, and you can even replace pasta and other things with them (like zucchini noodles).

o   Cooking at home versus eating out – By cooking at home you know exactly what is going in your food, which helps you avoid all the added calories you can get from restaurants. Plus, it makes for a happier wallet.

o   Meal prep – This is key. Fail to plan, plan to fail. I usually do my meal prepping on Sundays so that I am set for the entire week!

o   Set a goal to get at least 10,000 steps in a day – I track this with my Fitbit, but there are many other fitness and step tracking options.

o   Take the stairs in of elevator or escalator.

o   Try getting your heart rate up for at least 20-30 minutes a day.

o   Get a good night’s sleep. I know that this is hard for a lot of people, but sleep is a key part to a healthy lifestyle. It can benefit your heart, weight, mind, and much more.

o   Surround yourself with motivation – Get one of your girlfriends to be your workout buddy. Having someone there to motivate you and hold you accountable will help you stick to your goals. I personally have joined Burn Bootcamp in Charlotte with my sister, and it’s amazing! They really push you to motivate each other, and the class that I go to is all women, so we are all striving for the same goal.

o    Invest in cute (affordable) workout clothes – Dressing stylish during your workout will make you more confident and energetic. Old navy is my go-to when it comes to shopping for affordable athletic clothes. They are SUPER cute and don’t break the bank.

Now on to the fashion! If you haven’t noticed by now, my favorite trend of the summer has been off the shoulder tops! They are just so cute and make me feel dressed up even with a just a pair of jeans. This one is from Vestique, and is by far one of my favorites! You know how some off the shoulder shirts pop up on to your shoulders when you lift your arms?!? Well this one doesn’t because the sleeves are attached differently, so its WAY more comfortable and so easy to wear. Even better, it was only $20 and I snagged it during their warehouse sale. And speaking of comfortable…these jeans are from Old Navy’s new jean line, the Rockstar 24/7 (linked below). They are SUPER soft like leggings soft and I could wear them all the time. They give the appearance of jeans, and even have pockets, but they literally feel like you are wearing leggings!

Hope y'all have a fun weekend!

How I plan on staying bronze all year + Mint Julep Dress

I think we all feel a little better when we are tan, or at least I know I do! I just refuse to get in a tanning bed or lay out in the sun 24/7 to achieve a good tan though, because I don’t want to damage my skin. And it can cause wrinkles too...No thank you! I’ve tried so many different self tanners and lotions from higher price to cheap ones. Some of them have worked pretty well, but they all seem to have a weird smell that I just can't deal with! BUT I finally found one that I love and it doesn’t give you that terrible spray tan smell.

It’s called Liquid Sunshine and its by LimeLight. The name is perfect because it really is sunshine in a bottle haha!  And no, I’m not just supporting this because I sell it, but because I really do love it and use it all the time. My favorite part about this bronzer is that it doesn’t leave you orange like most, and it doesn’t streak or leave lines no matter how you apply it. And the best part is no smell! All you have to do is wash your hands after applying and you are good to go.

For these pictures, I applied 2 light coats. The great thing about this is you can apply as many coats as you want depending on how tan/bronze you want to look. I’m really pale so the max I apply is 2 coats so I don’t look crazy! The price is great too! Its only $28 dollars and will last you for several months. Feel free to email me if you’re interested in trying it out at or click here!

Now on to the outfit! I was so excited when The Mint Julep Boutique reached out to me to do a collaboration. Their clothing is super cute and so affordable, which is perfect for my wallet. I couldn't wait to wear this adorable maxi dress that is super lightweight and great for any summer outing. And because I love any dress that has pockets! The bold vibrant print is also great, and is something that I have been loving! You can also dress this maxi up or down, and it is so versatile. You could also transition it to fall by throwing on a lightweight jacket. So many options! If you sign up for emails on their website you will save $10 on your first order!

Hope everyone is having a great week! We are almost to the weekend!
